Maxey Family August 2009 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The interior of the villa, was pristine and if anything the website does not adequately depict the beauty of the guest cottage. This is where my wife, son and I stayed and it was tremendous. Everyone was very pleased with their accommodations and Pauline did an excellent job of keeping them clean and replenished with towels and linens. There were very few insects in the villa which was also very much appreciated. All staff did an excellent job of keeping the main living areas clean. We did not use the television but did enjoy the stereo system and wireless internet very much. The ceiling fans and air conditioning were excellent. The hammock and lounge chairs in the yard were also wonderful and received quite a bit of use. The accommodations for the beach were excellent. The chairs were terrific and we found the white framed chairs with the straps to be more comfortable (and lighter for Victor) than the green plastic chairs. The cooler was terrific too. That service really added a wonderful dimension to our vacation. Villa Melissa Staff: Having never had a vacation house with staff, we were slightly apprehensive. That feeling lasted about 30 seconds into our arrival before we completely surrendered to the charm and grace of Victor, Maria and Pauline. Everything from the first tea to the sandwiches made for the trip home were excellent. We enjoyed a wide range of cuisine and especially loved the fish that Maria prepared. Maria also accommodated our early rising by having our fruit prepared the night before which made breakfast preparation easy for us. We eagerly looked forward to lunch everyday and only regret that we didn't discover Victor's blender drinks sooner! I figured that we spent $30 US per day per person for food and alcohol which was terrific give the amount that we ate and drank! It would have been good to have the Trident Wine's catalogue available before our trip and perhaps that is something that you can link to from your website or have sent out. The arrival groceries were as ordered and I felt Maria did a very good job of shopping. Victor was outstanding and never hesitated to fulfill a request. He was patient, pleasant and expedient in his tasks and we very much felt at ease within his care. He was outstanding. Pauline was also very capable and did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and keeping us in towels and linens as I previously stated. Most importantly, everyone was happy to be working with us and happy to have us there and it was evident. If there is anything I have stated that needs clarification please let me know. We had an absolutely fabulous time and appreciate the owners willingness to share his home. Thank you and your team for all of your help, your guidance was critical in helping us decided on Villa Melissa. We would love to come back again as we had an amazing vacation at Villa Melissa.
